WHO CAN PLAY?
Children age 4 up to GRADE 6 are eligible to play in Upward. Our divisions shift year to year based on enrollment, but we typically offer three separate divisions: Pre-K - Kindergarten; 1st and 2nd grade; 3rd-4th grade and 5th-6th grade. This year, we offer separate divisions for girls and boys in grades 1 - 6. We ask that a child turn 4-years-old by the first day of practice.

WHEN ARE GAMES AND PRACTICES?
Practice nights for Upward are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Your child will be assigned to one of those nights. You have the option to select the night that works best for your family, and we try to honor your selection, but we cannot guarantee it. Practice times are set by the coaches. Once your child is placed on a team, your coach will contact you with specific details regarding practice. When possible, children from the same family are assigned to the same night of practice. However, we cannot guarantee that.
Games are Saturday mornings. All practices and games are at the Hope Born in Christ Church campus located at 2600 Marietta Ave. in Lancaster.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS
Upward Soccer at Hope Born in Christ Church is 100% volunteer. We ask parents to volunteer for one hour of service sometimes during the 10 weeks of our league. Parents who wish to coach or ref automatically fulfill the service requirement AND receive a discount on registration. Other options for service are: concession stand, lining the field, morning set-up, post-game tear down, handing out brochures and posters (pre-season), and helping at an Evaluation Day (pre-season).
Parents sign up for a volunteer service option during Evaluation Day. You will then be contacted and assigned a slot. Every volunteer is important!
